In order to bring fresh, organic milk and meat to members, Daloz Farm CSA began collaboring with Sunnyfield Farm in nearby Peterborough, NH. Sunnyfield has direct sales from the farm of milk, meat, eggs and vegetables in season. Each week, milk from Sunnyfield Farm is available in the refridgerator at Daloz Farm CSA for $3/half gallon bottle. We also purchase a 400 pound beef critter together as a CSA. By purchasing collaboratively, we are able to get organic, local ground beef at an incredible price.

Members are also encouraged to visit Sunnyfield Farm, managed by Dan and Ruth Holmes. They have farmed organically for 25 years. Sunnyfield Farm is home to cows, sheep, pigs, turkeys and chickens. The honesty freezer in the Sales Room is generally full of various cuts of beef, lamb, veal and pork.

This year, Sunnyfield Farm is offering pre-buys of chickens (meat birds) and turkeys. Both will be available first through the Daloz CSA and at a reduced price ($.25 less per pound than the regular price at Sunnyfield for meat birds). Contact Sunnyfield Farm directly or look for a sign up sheet at Daloz Farm to order fresh poultry this Summer and Fall. Sunnyfield also has Iceland sheep for sale.
